Funds deposited and received for credit to
any member accounts maintained with us are available for payment of
checks to others or for cash withdrawal - as these functions apply
to the specific types of accounts.
Note: provisions do not apply to checks drawn
on banks outside the United States, its territories, and possessions.
Generally, funds are available to you on the
day of deposit. Electronic deposits are also available on the day
we receive the deposit. For determining the availability of your deposits, contact
us. Deposits made on non-business
days or after hours
of operation will
be registered by the end of the following business day.
The first $100 dollars of your deposits will
be available on the first business day. You will be notified at the
time of the deposit or by mail if funds are not readily available,
and when they will be available. Delays are usually resolved within
five business days.
The following criteria may delay "same-day" withdrawals
with us:
- Checks deposited total more than $5,000
on any one day
- CJFCU believes that the checks deposited
will not be paid by the issuer
- Redeposited check has been returned unpaid
- Account has been overdrawn in a few instances
over the last six months
- Emergency, such as power failure or temporary
maintenance of communications and computer equipment, has
occurred
